On November 25, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council held a discussion in Beijing with representatives from enterprises participating in the second China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo. Leaders from companies and institutions such as Sumitomo Electric, Apple Inc., Charoen Pokphand Group, Rio Tinto Group, Corning Inc., Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd., Lenovo Group, TCL Technology Group, Yum China, and the U.S.-China Business Council attended.

Representatives from the attending enterprises stated that the Chinese market is an important part of the global supply chain, making significant contributions to global connectivity and innovative development. China is committed to developing new productive forces, implementing strong economic policies, continuously consolidating the momentum of economic stability and improvement, unleashing innovative vitality, and creating a better business environment. Foreign enterprises in China have witnessed China's development achievements, are full of confidence in the Chinese economy, have a positive outlook on the vast potential of the Chinese market, and are willing to further expand their investments in China, deepen their development in China, strengthen global supply chain cooperation, and achieve open and win-win outcomes.

After carefully listening to everyone's speeches, Li Qiang stated that over the past few decades, with the deepening of economic globalization, global industrial and supply chains have gradually grown, promoting rapid world economic growth, benefiting all parties involved. This fully demonstrates that division of labor and cooperation is an inevitable choice for social development, and efficient economic circulation relies on smooth flow of factors; closure has no way out, while openness is the right path. Currently, the world economy is facing sluggish growth, and some protectionist and overly security-oriented behaviors are still harming the global supply chain, further increasing corporate costs, reducing economic efficiency, and hindering common development. Especially at such times, it is crucial to recognize the significant importance of the global supply chain to the world economy, to gather broad consensus on strengthening supply chain cooperation, and to oppose various forms of 'decoupling and breaking chains' or 'starting anew', firmly maintaining the stability and smoothness of the global supply chain, and safeguarding the common interests of all parties.

Li Qiang pointed out that China is a key link in the global supply chain and will continue to take practical actions to maintain the stability and smoothness of the global supply chain. Since the beginning of this year, China's economic operation has been generally stable and improving. We will continue to strengthen counter-cyclical adjustments, promote sustained improvement of the Chinese economy, continuously cultivate and grow new momentum, and solidly advance high-quality development, contributing greater strength to deepening global supply chain cooperation and promoting world economic recovery. We will accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system, providing strong support for the efficient operation of the global supply chain with more robust supporting capabilities and more stable production capacity supply. We will focus on strengthening the deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation, better integrating into international innovation cooperation, and continuously providing strong momentum for the transformation and upgrading of the global supply chain. We will firmly promote high-level opening up, further expand market access, and welcome more foreign enterprises to engage in industrial cooperation in China, continuously providing a broad space for expanding global supply chain cooperation.

Li Qiang expressed hope that a wide range of enterprises will become steadfast defenders and active builders of the global supply chain, grasping the trends of the times and adapting to the development situation, continuing to firmly support economic globalization, deepening international division of labor and cooperation, and making greater efforts in supply chain innovation cooperation and green transformation, working together to create a more vibrant, resilient, and efficient global supply chain, achieving better development for enterprises and contributing to the common prosperity of all countries.
