Beyond reciprocal tariff measures, the US is using so-called anti-dumping and countervailing duties to target specific Chinese export sectors!
Since the US raised its overall tariffs on Chinese goods from 145% to 30% on May 12, over the past month, Chinese goods including photovoltaic cells, thermoformed fiber products, float glass, erythritol, graphite, silicon, and other active anode materials have been added to the US Department of Commerce's new 'blacklist'.
The anti-dumping and countervailing duties imposed, often reaching hundreds of percent, are tantamount to a de facto ban on these Chinese goods!
Recently, the US Department of Commerce announced the initiation or imposition of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on six categories of Chinese goods imported into the US, including general tariffs as low as 86.24%, and as high as 504.07% with individual company tariffs reaching as high as 1157.53% 。
1, Hardwood and Decorative Plywood
2, Softwood and Decorative Plywood
