Check via the US International Trade Commission website

First, determine the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) code for the goods. If you don't know the HTS code, you can first check the corresponding China HS code on the website of the Ministry of Commerce of China (https://wmsw.mofcom.gov.cn/wmsw/), the first 6 digits of the US HTS code are consistent with the HS code, and the last few digits are the US detailed classification. You can also search for the HTS code on the website of the US International Trade Commission (USITC) (https://hts.usitc.gov/) by entering keywords (in English) for the goods.

Access the US International Trade Commission's HTS code search system (https://hts.usitc.gov/) and enter the product's HTS code.

Check the tariff rate in the "Rates of Duty" column. The "General" column refers to the standard tariff rates applicable to all WTO members with most-favored-nation (MFN) treatment. China, as a WTO member, applies this rate; the "Special" column refers to import tariffs for countries with free trade agreements with the United States. If there is a "/" mark after the "General" column, it indicates that additional tariffs have been imposed, usually through a separate chapter "Chapter 99" or additional code annotations, and further information on additional tariffs needs to be checked according to the prompts.

Check via the Office of the United States Trade Representative website

Visit the "Section 301" page on the website of the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), download the list of additional tariffs, enter the first 8 digits of the HTS code, confirm whether the goods are on the additional tariff list and the corresponding additional tariff rate, and check whether the Section 301 additional tariff applies. Some goods may be included in the exemption list, and you can check the latest exemption status on the USTR website.
