1. Freight calculation formula
The calculation of freight is usually based on the weight or volume of the goods, whichever is greater.
A. Air freight
CHARGEABLE WEIGHT = ACTUAL WEIGHT
and volume weight (VOLUMETRIC WEIGHT)
Volume weight calculation (kg) = length (CM) X width (CM) X height (CM)÷ 6000
B. Sea freight
Billed weight = the greater between actual weight and volumetric weight
Volume Weight Calculation (ton) Length (M) X Width (M) X Height (M)
2. Calculation formula of cargo volume
Cubic Meters (CBM)= Length (M) X Width (M) X Height (M)
Cubic Feet (CFT) = Length (iN) X Width (IN) X Height (IN)÷ 1728
3. Calculation of exchange rate
Amount in local currency = amount in foreign currency X exchange rate
4. Calculation of shipping date and transportation time
Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA)= Departure Time Voyage Time
Actual Arrival Time (ATA)= Departure Time Actual Voyage Time
5. The cost of cargo insurance is calculated.
· Insurance cost = insurance amount X insurance rate
6. Tax calculation
Tariff = value of goods x tariff rate
Value Added Tax (VAT)= (tariff on the value of goods) X VAT rate
