It was learned that: recently, the General Administration of Customs issued a notice, announced the adjustmentRequirements for filling in the "date of departure" of imported goods.

The announcement said,In order to further regulate the declaration of consignors of import and export goods, the General Administration of Customs has decided that, as of July 9, 2024,The requirement for the "date of departure" of imported goods was adjusted from "the date of departure of the means of transport carrying the imported goods from the port of departure" to "the date of departure of the imported goods from the first port of shipment abroad.

In order to further standardize the declaration behavior of the consignor of import and export goods, the General Administration of Customs has decided to adjust the requirements for the "date of departure" of the import goods declaration item as follows:

Will"Departure Date"The filing requirement is from the original "fill in the date of departure of the means of transport carrying the incoming goods from the port of departure.""Adjusted to" Fill in the date when the inbound goods left the first port of shipment outside the country.

For goods that have no actual entry or exit, fill in the date of declaration to the customs.. Among them, if the declaration is made in the form of an electronic data declaration, the date of transmission of the declaration data to the customs computer system shall be filled in. If the declaration is made by paper declaration, fill in the date of submission of the paper declaration to the customs.

If a customs declaration contains goods corresponding to different departure dates, fill in the last departure date.。”

This announcement shall come into force as of the date of publication.
