For sea freight:
Dimensional weight = Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm)/6000.

while for air freight:
Dimensional weight = Length (cm) x Width (cm) x Height (cm)/5000.
The Billable Weight is defined as the greater of the two weights (actual vs. dimensional) and this will be used to calculate the final shipping rate.

Because of this rule, you want to communicate with your supplier and try to package your goods in the best way that has the smallest package volume. If you are looking at ongoing shipments, discuss packaging options with your supplier. You might be able to seriously cut the freight costs.
