1. Packaging issues

(1) damaged parts: due to the packaging is not strong, coupled with a long time of transport extrusion, resulting in damage to the goods. It is necessary to use better outer packaging materials, and the filling in the box should be filled with the gap. For fragile articles, attention should be paid to posting fragile and other signs at obvious positions, and the loading requirements of heavy and light, large and small should be paid attention to in the transportation process.

(2) The quantity does not match the physical object: during customs inspection, the quantity is too large to be counted. Before shipping, count the quantity of high-value goods inside and seal the boxes. The delivery is accompanied by a certificate stating the contents and quantity.

(3) The sealed package is not hinge: when the customs inspecates the goods, it cannot be disassembled or the package is difficult to be intact after disassembling.

2. Product issues

(1) aviation contraband: powder, granules, drugs, liquids, drugs and other sensitive goods, will be seized by the local customs. Need to consult the international courier company before shipment, according to the shipping country and shipping channel of the product delivery requirements.

(2) Charged products: the basic supporting materials are MSDS certificate, 38.3 test report, battery letter in duplicate (original), "cargo transport conditions appraisal" and so on.

(3) Imitation license: If a licensed product is found during customs inspection, the transit must provide "Certificate of Authorization of the Trademark Owner" or "Purchase Invoice (photocopy is also acceptable)". If it cannot be provided, it cannot be transferred.

(4) Non-Chinese origin: Customs inspection found that the goods are not "Made in China", which may be imitation goods or dumped goods. All of them are not allowed to be released for trade. Relevant information should be provided to prove the reason why the "origin is not China.

3, the declaration of information issues

(1) The type of declaration does not match the type on the list with the actual goods. Need to provide the correct list, and strictly according to the definition of documents, parcels classified declaration.

(2) Weight discrepancy: The billing weight on the list does not match the actual goods. Ensure the tight packaging of the goods before delivery, avoid the operation and packaging of the deformation of the goods, and make the billing weight of the handover list according to the facts.

(3) Declared items do not match: waybill invoice declaration does not match the actual goods. Before delivery, carefully verify the sender's shipping items and write the waybill invoice information according to the actual goods.

(4) Value discrepancy: The declared value on the consignment note invoice does not match the value of the actual goods. It is necessary to provide the correct value of the goods to the customs declaration according to the actual value of the goods, and fill in the correct waybill and invoice.

4. Recipient Issues

(1) Unclear waybill address: Unknown information can lead to failure to deliver or error in delivery. You need to provide the correct address and contact information of the recipient.

(2) waybill information is not in English: recipient information is not in English, and some countries only accept English address and dispatch information.

(3) generate customs duties: the recipient needs to actively contact the local customs to pay customs duties and wait for release.

There are many reasons why international express delivery is detained. Don't be afraid or panic after being detained. As long as it is solved according to the normal process, it can be released smoothly after customs duties are paid or information is submitted.

The four major express delivery companies (DHL, FEDEX, TNT, UPS) all have customs clearance services. When the goods are detained, the express delivery company will contact the recipient for customs clearance in the first place.

If items sent through China Post EMS, Hongkong Post EMS, China Post SAL by land and water are detained, the recipient needs to contact the customs or postal company to handle customs clearance.

In order to avoid international express being detained by customs, we should pay attention to the following points:

First of all, accurately fill in the declared value, because the declared value and valuation are far from the most likely to cause customs inventory, so should try to keep the declared value and valuation consistent. In order to prevent the goods from being detained, the consignor can appropriately write down the declared value, because once the goods are seized by the customs, the customs clearance fee is calculated according to a certain proportion of the declared value, the lower the declared value, the lower the customs clearance fee; the higher the declared value, the higher the customs clearance fee.

Secondly, the packing list of goods should be written in detail. The quantity, unit price, total price and currency of the goods must be clearly written, as well as the material, name, purpose, composition and parts of the goods.

In addition, it should also be noted that customs are generally very strict in checking heavyweight goods and valuables. Therefore, when delivering these items internationally, we must be very careful and cautious. Once we are careless, we will be detained.

At the same time, the policies of different countries are different, and the customs clearance conditions for international express delivery are also different. Therefore, we must understand the customs clearance policies of various countries, and only by knowing ourselves and the enemy can we win a hundred battles!

For example, Italy belongs to the European Union, and taxes are levied on packages larger than 22 euros, so the European Union is often checked because packages are declared low. Singapore imposes tariffs on packages with a declared amount of more than 400 Singapore dollars (about 320USD), so there are few problems with packages to Singapore. Russian customs are very strict in checking goods. DHL International Express and FedEx International Express will basically check every piece, however, EMS International Express is rarely found. The United States is a big online shopping country. It has faster customs clearance for packages and is exempt from customs duties for packages less than US $200. However, the United States is very strict in checking personal safety products, electronic products and children's toys. Therefore, it makes corresponding customs clearance preparations for different types of goods and destination countries.
